How do we become an IAP approved centre?

When should I register a course?

You should register your course at least 00 days prior to the course start date. Registrations received within 00 days will be charged the fee of £000. Registrations cannot be accepted within 14 days of the start date.

What paperwork do we need to submit before, during and after the course?

>>Before = Course registration form

>>During = Learner registration forms for each learner

>>Within 10 days of the end of the course = Summary of learner achievement form.

What qualifications can we deliver?

You can deliver any of our qualifications as long as you have the facilities and the resources.

How long does the approved centre application take? It takes 14 working days providing all information is submitted, if there’s no amendments need to be made.

How should we ensure the learner meets the requirements to book onto a qualification? The approved centre is responsible for ensuring the learner holds the qualification pre-requisites prior to booking onto a course. The method of checking this is the decision of the centre, however, to ensure there are no delays in results being sent out we recommend asking to see evidence of the qualification before the course begins.

A learner has misplaced the certificate. How can we check they hold a qualification? The learner will need to request for an additional certificate, as well as the course provider should keep the students records.

Does IAP provide any financial assistance to interested course providers?

How will I know if a distance learning course is accredited by iAP?

In most cases, accredited courses by iAP are made known by their providers by displaying our logo/quality mark. However, if you want to make sure that you will be enrolling in a course accredited by us, you can check our directory of providers offering iAP-accredited courses.

Do providers with IAP accredited courses offer quality services to students?

Yes. Providers with IAP accredited courses are known to deliver quality learning experience to students. As part of their commitment to improve the quality of distance learning, they adhere to the standards we have set and continuously participate in accreditation.

Can I use existing evidence from programmes undertaken before I registered as a learner? Learners can use evidence of learning achieved prior to registration on their current course. For details please contact our Quality Assurance department.

Does IAP accredited distance learning providers offer scholarships or financial assistance to interested students?

Many of our accredited distance learning providers offer financial assistance to students. Some offer them in the form of scholarships, while others provide student loans. In any case, it is best to contact the distance learning provider offering your desired study course and inquire if they have financial assistance programs that you can apply into to complete the course.

Will I have to do an exam at the end of my programme?

Yes, it’s always an online examination.

What if I have special requirements?

If a learner has specific needs, a disability, suffers illness or experiences problems, there are ways that they can be supported in their learning. Learners should approach their tutor or staff at their centre at the beginning of the programme.

What should I do if there are inaccuracies on my certificate?

If there are any errors on a learner certificate, the learner should inform their centre in the first instance. Having told the centre what the error is, the centre will inform IAP and we will re-issue a certificate with the correct details to the centre within 5 working days of a written request from the centre.
